Works are wrapping up on site with Balmond Studio on the Alaska Light Sculpture. Light sequencing and settings are underway to finalise the piece. SEAM is seeking talented, motivated, and personable lighting designers and architects with strong lighting sensibilities, to join our London studio. Established in the UK in 2009, we are an enthusiastic, creative and ambitious design office focussing on architectural lighting design, with a growing portfolio of notable international projects.
Requirements:
- Lighting designers with 2-5 years of professional working experience from concept to completion(with architecture and/or interior design background is a plus).
- Part II and Part III Architects with a strong interest in lighting design will also be considered.
- Excellent design sensibility, communication skills (verbal and visual)and personal initiative are desired.
- Proficiency of Autocad, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are required.
- 3DStudio Max and Dialux/Relux are a plus.
- UK or EU citizen or hold a UK working visa.

SEAM joins an international team lead by Zaha Hadid Architects, which also includes tvsdesign, Balmori Associates, Halvorson & Partners and Space Agency, that was longlisted for the Navy Pier Pierscape Chicago design competition. 11 candidates were chosen from over 50 entries by multidisciplinary teams consisting of landscape architects, urban, graphic and lighting designers, art curators and architects. The other 10 shortlisted teams are (teams led by): AAECOM/BIG, Aedas Architects, Frederic Schwartz Architects, Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, Jacques Ferrier Architectures, James Corner Field Operations, OMA/SGA, SHoP Architects, and Xavier Vendrell Studio.
