Three SEAM projects receive Honourable Mention at the 2022 LIT Lighting Design Awards

The projects span diverse cultural and architectural contexts, reflecting the studio’s ongoing work across multiple continents and building typologies. From large-scale retail environments to commercial mixed-use developments and therapeutic care facilities, each scheme demonstrates a considered response to place, programme, and human experience.

At Central Floresta in Phuket, lighting contributes to the identity of a major retail and leisure destination, supporting navigation, atmosphere, and the evening presence of the development.

At 80 Collins Street in Melbourne, the lighting strategy enhances the layered character of a complex mixed-use urban environment, reinforcing architectural clarity and civic engagement.

At Maggie’s Centre Southampton, the lighting design prioritises comfort, calm, and spatial legibility, supporting the sensitive nature of the building’s healthcare mission.

Together, these recognitions highlight the breadth of SEAM’s international work and the adaptability of architectural lighting design as a tool for shaping perception, environment, and experience across very different settings.
