"Tower of LIght"
Conceived as an exploration of light as both medium and structure, the project transforms a vertical architectural element into a dynamic presence within the urban landscape. Light is used not simply to illuminate, but to animate — revealing form, depth, and movement through carefully controlled sequences and calibrated intensity.
The installation responds to its context through shifting states of colour and brightness, creating a sense of rhythm that evolves throughout the evening. Visible from a distance yet refined in detail, the work engages both the city and the individual observer, offering moments of stillness as well as visual intrigue.
The reflective surface of the central flues amplifies the effect of dappled light while sustaining the tower's lightweight, pristine impression from day to night.. By treating light as a material in its own right, the project contributes to the growing role of lighting design within public space — where infrastructure, art, and experience converge.
