King’s College Hospital Roof Garden Critical Care Unit Nears Completion

Approaching completion, the King’s College Hospital Roof Garden Critical Care Unit represents a progressive vision for healthcare architecture — one that recognises the profound relationship between environment, wellbeing, and recovery.

Conceived as a therapeutic extension of the clinical setting, the project introduces direct access to landscape, daylight, and open air within a critical care environment, supporting both patients and caregivers through meaningful proximity to nature. Carried forward through the generosity, dedication, and compassion of all involved, the Roof Garden CCU reflects an evolving understanding of how carefully designed spaces can positively influence healing, comfort, and emotional wellbeing.

We are excited to see this remarkable project take its final shape and become a reality.
